Biblical Quotes on Faith

Here are some of the most famous biblical quotes on faith that I’ve read.  You will notice that many of my favorite quotes are found in the Bible because it is such a remarkable book.  You’ll be surprised how many verses of the Bible can be used to solve everyday problems.  Once you’ve read them think about how you can apply them to your life.

“…..I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 (NIV)

“Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.” Mathew 21:21(NIV)

1Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.
3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.” Hebrew 11:1,3(NLT)

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” Ephesians 6:16 (NIV)

“…For it is by your own faith that you stand firm.” 2 Cor. 1:24

Have you ever heard the saying, “Faith can move mountains?”  It is a figurative way of showing how powerful faith can be.  It can motivate you to keep taking action even when a result is nowhere in sight.

Faith in a God that you cannot see can bring about more blessings than you can ever imagine but it comes with many challenges.  One example of someone with great faith was Noah.  God told him to build a gigantic boat, in the middle of the dessert, where there was no water anywhere close by.  For the people back then who had very little faith, Noah seemed insane.  They thought he lost his mind. It took a huge act of faith to undergo mockery from almost everyone he knew, but Noah did as God told him anyway.

What was the end result?  Noah as well as his family were the only survivors of a great flood.

So, how has God spoken to you today?  What does he want you to do, and are you doing it in faith knowing that the end result will bring a great reward?  Could it be that you have a God given talent but because you are not getting the support of those in your environment you’ve put it to the side?

This is God’s gift to you.  It is time to accept it.  Use it to send a message to those around you and show them what a wonderful God you serve.  In the long run you will reap the rewards for your faith.

Meditate on these faith quotes and repeat this affirmation:

I can with stand any obstacle with faith in God and in my abilities.  With God’s help I can move mountains.
