Motivational Quotes for Weight Loss

These quotes on weight loss are very motivational for people who are dying to lose weight and need the extra push.

“Progress and improvement generate encouragement. YOU can progress and improve and be encouraged to do more. Tomorrow morning, put on your walking shoes and take a walk, even if it's just a few minutes. The next day, do it again - progress and improve.” Greg Landry

"You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person
you want to be."
David Viscott

“ We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do.  We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.”  2 Corinthians 10:4(NLT Bible)

“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1Corinthians 6:19,20(ESV Bible)

It’s easy to gain weight but it is definitely hard to take it off, especially if you find it hard to put in the work and exercise.  However, there are things that you can do to prepare yourself when it is time to exercise.

When you are making attempts at weight loss you must realize that the pounds are not going to just miraculously shed.  It takes patience and determination to get the results you are looking for.  It also requires making realistic goals that you can reach because you can become easily discouraged when things don’t work out the way you planned.

Another thing to take into consideration is your mental state.  You will never succeed at weight loss if you are constantly thinking negatively.  Case in point, how many times have you failed at weight loss because of giving up too easily?  You start to say things like, “I’m never going to lose weight.” or “This is too hard.” In the end you give up on your weight loss goals.

Remember it’s all in the way you look at the journey that determines your success at weight loss. So before you start to exercise think about the end results.  Say to yourself, “I can do this.”   “Don’t give up.”  and “I’m making progress even though it doesn’t seem like it on the outside.”  Whatever negative thoughts come into your mind, counteract them with positive, uplifting thoughts.

Also remember that when you least feel like working out is the time when you need it the most.  Therefore, when you are feeling sluggish and lazy talk yourself into exercising.  Do a little bit at a time and slowly progress.  You will find yourself becoming more disciplined and will feel rejuvenated and in high spirits afterwards.

You can also think about the spiritual side of weight loss.  Keep in mind that you were created in the likeness of God.  What better way to show God that you appreciate how wonderfully he made you than by taking care of yourself?  Even if you don’t see results right away, you are still making progress.  You are becoming stronger physically, healthier, and more content.  These are just some of the many benefits of exercise.  Rest assured God is also very pleased that you are taking special care of the body that he gave you.

Don’t give up on your weight loss goals.  Pray to God for the strength to control your thoughts and think positively.
Don’t worry. Your hard work will definitely pay off.

Affirmation

I have the determination and strength to complete my weight loss goals.  I can push myself to the maximum by taking it a little bit at a time and asking God for help.
