I came across this quote during daily Bible meditation. Quotes like this can inspire anyone to keep pressing on especially when times are hard.
In life you will come across seasons of blessings and ones of hardship. In these seemingly prolonged periods when life is at its worst you might often think, “Have I done something wrong that displeases God? Is that why I’m being punished.” I’m sure many have felt this way at one time or another.
However, that is far from the case. Uncontrollable hardship is merely God’s way of molding you into the individual he knows you can be. As humans we experience a never ending cycle of growth where our ideas and way of doing things are constantly changing, hopefully for the better. The path chosen depends on you. Will you put up a wall over your heart preventing God’s word from penetrating or will you break it down?
A perfect example is King David. Before he became the King of Israel he went through many years of hardship because Saul was constantly trying to kill him. The way he poured his heart out in despair to God shows the emotional state he was in. Ultimately, what got him through these excruciating moments and gave him inspiration were not merely his own human strength but God’s undeniable power.
In the end, David’s experiences helped him to be the Great king that he was. A man who while imperfect was assigned by God to fulfill his purpose. He is the perfect example of what happens when you rely on God for comfort, wisdom and strength.
So why not embrace your hardships? Your hardship may be God's way of inspiring you to become a better version of yourself..
